So im getting this beast monitor as a christmas present to myself lol. But atm my gpu is pretty terrible and cant run it well at all ( Radeon 7700 series ). I'm planning on upgrading to a 280x but i hear about all this 290 non reference cards coming out with good coolers. My question is should i try to run my radeon atm into the ground with the monitor and wait for the 290 (But i play games so... i dont think that will work so well),or just buy the 280x for 300 bucs and call it a day.

I don't need it and i could also go for a cheaper alternative, but iv heard nothing but good things about this monitor and asus is a brand i trust ( not some asian monitor i've never heard of ). Plus the 3 year warranty. This monitor will last me probly a good 4 or 5 years im hoping.
