Hey guys, i have this motherboard, i was wondering if i can run second low end card on it that does not require pcie power from PSU. I am not sure if it will even fit, also what about the power usage? I might be peaking it to 600w~ even with this 980.
I think i have somewhere GeForce 7300GT laying and would like to put it in also i wonder how to install drivers for different cards later.

It will work, but why? You already outputs from the motherboard and GPU, why would you need more?

Well, i need an second card that will run software UI and in general all system, meanwhile the main card is doing its job ( rendering ), without second card when its rendering i can barely move the cursor its extremely laggy, barely able to even browse on facebook, etc.

Can you not just use the iGPU?

I can't this mobo doesn't even have the VGA cable output also didn't seen anything in the bios to enable it. When my first AMD card died i remember i was using through the dead w/ drivers uninstalled card to get the display. Was left only with CPU power, no gaming etc. It has some port similiar to VGA, but it doesn't fit, propably i need adapter or something. And anyway i am using single monitor, so not sure how i could run iGPU.

EDIT: it doesn't fit. Model of the card: MSI NX7300GT-TD256EH

the other port you mention is serial

also you can enable the i-gpu even if you dont have a display connected to it

also i tried to to what you wanted with one computer but all stuff (like chrome and windows) only works on main gpu
