Computer shuts down randomly during less graphically intensive games only

Hello friends,

 

My computer for a while now has been shutting itself off while playing games like CS:GO, MW2, and rarely in League of legends. When my pc shuts down, I need to unplug the power from the psu or I cant power my PC back on, which makes me think its a psu problem.

 

The confusing part for me is that my computer doesn't shut down when playing other games which are more graphically intensive, such as Witcher 3, Battlefield 1 and PubG. I dont think its a cooling issue as my cpu and gpu never go over 70 degrees Celsius

 

I cant try another psu for a few weeks which is what I think is the issue, anybody think it could be anything else causing this?

- check all connections

- reseat the GPU in the slot

- check memory using memtest

- stress your system using FurMark and AIDA64/ (risky) Prime95 and see if it shuts down
