And, about Ryzen 1700, I saw that the works with a standard of  3.0GHz and a turbo of 3.7GHz, which is less than standard i7-770k (4.2GHz).

I actually don't know what the click speed "does", but I think that Ryzen uses 8 cores with a lower speed, but which are better for 3D rendering, is it correct?

each ryzen core is a bit slower than the 7700k , but if your workload can take advantage of the extra cores , the 1700 should pull ahead by quite a bit .

Comparing clock speed accross different architectures isn't a good idea , so just forget about that .

Just know both chips can be overclocked . 1700 can tyypically reach around 4 ghz with proper cooling ( faster than the r7 1800x ) , and the i7 7700k can reach around 5ghz ( again , on 4 cores )

Yep, for 3d rendering more cores=better ;) And you can overclock the 1700 to 3.8-4GHz :D

OP can actually squeeze in a 1080 ti by giving up the 3400mhz ram ( which probably won't run on ryzen tbh ) and getting a different cooler .

It's a rendering workstation, so a 1080 Ti won't really help, faster RAM will definitely help though. And 3400MHz is possible with Ryzen, because Trident Zs use Samsung B-dies :P

If he uses CUDa , it might .

I just don't think that extra 400mhz is worth the 40$ tbh . Most of the improvement is from 2133 to 2933 . After that it's really diminishing returns .

It is because you can be 100% sure that you will get 3200-3400MHz, because Trident Zs use Samsung B-dies. If the kit you linked doesn't use Samsung B-dies, 3000MHz is probably not possible

I don't know if there is still someone here, but I think I'll take Ryzen 1700x, to have a bit more power and 16GB ddr4 3600, but I saw that the motherboard in the simulation by @PCGuy_5960 doesn't support ddr4 3600 and it says that there might be some incompatibilities with the cooler, here is my simulation, how ca in solve my problems?

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 1700X 3.4GHz 8-Core Processor  ($349.89 @ Amazon)

EDIT: I forgot to say that I want overclock
Do you think that replacing the SSD with a M2 would be good idea?

If the Kraken X62 doesn't come with an AM4 bracket, you should just contact NZXT and they will send you an AM4 bracket :D

If you want to overclock, the 1700 is a better choice as it is cheaper and you can overclock it to 3.8-4GHz ;) If you don't want to overclock, get the 1700X because it is clocked higher out of the box

But, wouldn't be better to overclock a cpu with higher base speed?o.O

Nah, the 1700 can be overclocked to the same speeds as even the 1800X :D If you do want to spend a bit more, the 1700X will overclock slightly better, because it is better binned ;)

Oh, perfect, thanks, again!:D

Do you know anything about the motherboard which doesn't support ddr4 3600?

Because I read somewhere that the ryzen performance increases with faster ram

Indeed it does... If you can spend a bit more to get the ASUS Crosshair 6 or the AsRock X370 Taichi, you can be 100% sure that you will get 3400-3600MHz
