Hi There,

I recently got an old Intel palr s5000 motherboard.

My plan was to use it as the platform for my next gaming PC. ( I know servers are loud and so on.  And there are no affordable e atx cases , so I build one by myself. )

My problem though is , that the board doesn't have a pcie X16 slot, but a full height riser slot.

Is there any way to " change"  the slot , so that I can put a graphics card into it ?

Ignore the full lenght slot, its a combo for PCI-E and PCI/X, with the PCI-E being 8x

The other slot is just a normal PCI-E 8x which you can attach any 8x to 16x riser card. Like this:

Thank you very much.

Now I can keep on building my PC :)
