New build

I'm really confused with these large budget builds recently popping up... You could easily build 4k, content creation machine easily under 3000 with monitor and everything... There is no need to spend so much on PC even if you have all the money in the world  if you are just going to be gaming...

At that price point, I would recommend raid. I don't know much about it, but here are the types I know about

RAID 0: Takes half the space of both disk and is faster, but if one fails all fails

RAID 1: Same as raid 0, except instead of being faster it is the same speed but if one fails there is a backup

RAID 5: Requires 3 drives I think, one for redundancy and the other two are storage.

Sorry if I wrote this weirdly, I'm not good with raid, just recommending it.

All three of those explanations are incorrect. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_RAID_levels

RAID 0 - essentially 'adds' the space of 2 drives, increasing overall write speeds because half the data is written to each drive. Very risky, if one drive fails all data is lost.

RAID 1 - very basic, same information stored on both drives. If one fails all data remains intact on the second drive.

RAID 5 - data is 'striped' across 3 or more drives, so even if 1 drive fails, the data stored on it can be extrapolated and later restored.

PLEASE don't give advice on things you don't understand, just link a helpful article ;)

1. XPower really sucks, get crosshair vi or gaming k4 pro instead.

2. Might as well wait for X299 if I were you, the 7820x sounds like it would fit you pretty well.

3. With this MASSIVE of a budget, you considered custom water cooling?

4. Enthoo Evolv might be better, that case is a bit dated.

5. You're cheaping out so much on keyboard and mouse... You could get like a K95 Platinum and G900 and it wouldn't make a dent in your price.

6. You had a much smaller budget before, and now it's $7000... Just wondering, but why?

So I can check out different options

Except that's not a good idea. Why? Because the pc market is changing A LOT as time goes on. A year from now you will probably be able to get the performance of a $2000 build in the price of $1500. Maybe less. This is especially true of the high end, whereas a $7000 build with 1080 ti sli with get outperformed by two GPUs that are half the price.

If you can't buy the builds yet, then don't even bother with having a list made for your budget. It's a waste of time tbh.

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.
