PC will not boot. Worked yesterday, but I ran a little code to remove the "activate windows" watermark and after one reboot won't start. Keyboard and lights and all turn on, fans whirr, but no signal.

Specs are:

ryzen 1600 stock

rx 580 strix stock

16gb hyperx ram

some WD ssd

win10 from media creation tool

What hardware is this likely to be?

It worked fine until now

(also, it's my friends PC so i wont have instant access)

qυoтe мe pleaѕe!

Me at the Apple store: "So how fast is this little macbook?"

Apple employee: "Cheetah Fast. Lightning Fast. It's Really, really, fast."

As above, check connections and cables. Try different ports on the video card; I see it has DVI, Displayport, and HDMI. Although unlikely, make sure it's not actually his display so try other ports and perhaps another output device (e.g. a console or another PC) on it.

If he gets a signal with another device but all of the previous steps did not resolve the issue, I'd try reseating the video card, then move onto trying a different video card.

I highly doubt it has anything to do with the OS if it's just not POSTing (although possible if he's using fast boot via UEFI and your "code" wrecked something). Not to mention if he doesn't have another PC to install Windows, it would be impossible to reinstall Windows natively if he's not getting a display signal.
