Say, i bought the oem version of windows. Whats the strings attached on that? Is it the it may only be installed on one mobo at a time? Or would i need a new license?

Bios lock. As far as I know, you should be able to change MOBOs if you have the key, but you could only have one instance of Windows activated.

I'm not 100% sure on the OEM thing though. I'd just get the retail license

Eh, oem was cheaper and im pretty sure if anything fails ill just buy a 20 dollar license for the old computer.

If it doesn't work you can just get a new license, so it shouldn't be too bad.
