45mm thick rad in push-pull or 60mm rad in just pull/push?

I have room for a quad radiator, and plan on using an alphacool nexxxos ut60 or xt45 with sp120 quiets at as low speed as possible. I am able to either fit a 60mm thick rad in just pull or a 45mm rad in push-pull. Which one would give the best performance? Also, on the 45mm thick rad in push-pull I could run the fans at lower speeds, but there would be twice as many, so which would be quieter? Thanks!

Hard to say on this which "might" be better. Theory - the 60mm is the way to go. Should outperform a 45mm and typically push/pull only give at most a couple of degrees. I would go with the 60mm myself.

I have a UT60 and SP120 performance. They really don't make that match more noise. I can barely here it. The UT60 for sure you want push pull just to get the rad that much more air flow. The situation you are in has to do with what speed to run the fans to out perform the UT60 vs XT45. A simple fan controller plus XT45 might be the trick. Ramp up the speed when needed or turn down the fans when you don't need the horsepower.

Push/Pull will only make a difference of a few degrees Celsius in almost all scenarios unless you have a very restrictive radiator like the BlackIce GTS Stealth series. With the ut60, you shouldn't have a problem as the fin density is quite low.
