MOving to a new Motherboard

hey guys i've planned to upgrade my motherboard in next month so do i have to buy windows again ???

Nope. No need to get Windows again, All you need to enter the key again.

the thing is i didnt purchase the retail version instead got a cheap (20$) version. still dont need???

From where did you buy it? I'm sure they are all the same. It'll work just fine.

Unless it's OEM, it's usually cheaper and means that it only works with one motherboard :)

What you can do is test with your old key and installation method(CD/USB). If it doesn't work, get new Windows :)

I recommend not getting another OEM version of windows, if you have to upgrade or something breaks in the future you can just reinstall it with the same key and USB/CD :)
