I was wondering what the best laptop in the used market would be that fits these requirements (U.S.).

$300 or less

small and light

good processor

dedicated graphics

Any help or insight would be great.

for that price look at a older thinkpad on ebay

I've been looking at them, but the problem with them would be the fact that the only ones that can really be found with dedicated graphics would be the w530 and that is a bit larger than I want. The t430 looks perfect, but the ones with the NVS gpu's are one in a million.

Are there any other small laptops in the price range with a dedicated gpu?

That would be kinda hard, but I'm sure you can find good deals if you search around enough.

Any reason you need dedicated graphics? You can pick up a nice Chromebook for under $300.

Chromebooks have no use to me since I'm a power user, windows gives way for so many more possibilities over chrome os. Also the reason that I would like dedicated graphics is to play potato games on. Things like 2011 skyrim, League of Legends, and CS:GO. This is mostly to be used as a secondary laptop for notetaking and very light gaming for friends or as a backup for whatever main laptop I have.

With the suggestions in mind, I may just try to land a k2000m, 9 cell battery version of the w530 for under $350 and then do some work on it myself. I guess it would be fine in all honesty since the w530 is better to work with.

With all respects at your budget your going to really struggle to find anything that suits your needs, either increase your budget, or decide on portability or ok gaming performance

Thinkpads in the ivy bridge generations are legit the best ones I think. I'm still building my T430 project. Waiting for 51nb to source a T430 LVDS to eDP converter board before I can finish.
