I know the Ryzen 7 1700 comes with a cooler, that I'll probably use for a while, but if I decide to upgrade later for better cooling, are there any coolers that COME with AM4 brackets? I don't want to have to wait 2 weeks for somebody to send me one *cough* nzxt.

I think pretty much all coolers have been updated for AM4, just check the descriptions of the item of the cooler or contact support. Nobody is going to give you a free cooler with nothing in return.

Dark Rock 3.

That's what I bought. Sadly my retailer still had old batches, so I got the one without AM4 mounting kit. Contacted be Quiet! company and I got mounting kit in 3 days.

You can also send copy of your bill for your motherboard, and send it to be Quiet. They will ship mounting kit right away, and at the same time you order dark rock 3 from shop. It's most likely that you will receive mounting kit before cooler itself xD

And I'm very happy with this cooler. 1,35V at 3,825GHz ... while gaming it doesn't go higher than 50°C. At idle around 37-45°C (kind high idle temps because CPU is always working on 1,35V and max frequency ... can't make it drop down at idle for some reason).

With stress testing aida64 cpu+fpu+cache, max temp that I saw was 74°C and that was after hours or it. I could drop down those temps by turning my fan higher, but no need for that.

It's dead quiet on idle/gaming. When stress testing, you can barely hear it when 50cm away.

And that's comming from someone who can hear grass growing.
