Monitor for this build?

Noobie_

Hey, can anybody suggest a monitor for this build?

There are three rules for the monitor:

1. Dual monitors

2. For gaming

3. Best quality (i.e: 4k) for buck

Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hWzsr7

Thanks for advanced! :D

P.S (Also if anybody has any suggestions for my build then please suggest!)

1440p 144Hz would be your best choice for your main monitor, get any 1080p monitor for the second one

One thing I want to complain about your build is get a better PSU, EVGA NEX isn't that good

I'm kind of curious why many people lean towards 1440p monitors for gaming these days.  Does 4K gaming just not measure up?  Or is it because the monitors cost more?

It has more to do with graphics cards not being able to max out AAA titles on 4k at 60+fps even with the 1080ti it falls short thereafter 2560x1440p already provides superior quality and image sharpness compared to 1920x1080p but keeps frames per second high enough.

4k came before hardware was rightfully ready for it, honestly I am waiting Volta architecture to finally go to ultrawide 1440p as I honestly feel I won't be satisfied with even the 1080ti performance on it.

Huh...well, I guess that made my decision for me.  I was looking for a new monitor for my new rig with a 1080Ti.  I'm used to 1080, so 1440p sounds like the next logical step.  Might even be able to get G-Sync with the lower cost of the monitor as a result.
