Not really sure what your question is

Use one display cable to run from your monitor to your PC, and another to go from the Ripsaw to your PC.

basically obs is saying no signal. I have it all set up properly but my gaming monitor is a 1440p 21:9 aspect ratio but the capture card will only do 1080p. what i want to do is have obs downscale to 1080p but i cant get it to or figure out how to make my gaming pc under settings set a different resolution for the second display.

Don't forget to quote me or I don't get notifications

Start by manually setting your ultrawide to 1080p via your GPU control panel and see if that works

sorry i should be more specific again i didnt give all the information. I am using OBS on a streaming PC so im doing dual pc streaming....

From gaming pc i have Display Port from video card to gaming monitor (1440p asus rog pg349q ultrawide) and from my gaming pc video card i have an hdmi cable going to the capture card (razer ripsaw) then from razer ripsaw i have an hdmi out going to streaming pc video card and from capture card i have usb 3.0 going to streaming pc video card. also from streaming pc i have a DVI-HDMI cable going to streaming PC monitor. so what i wanna do i game in 1440p on the gaming PC and then on streaming pc i want it to see what im playg but i just want it to see it in 1080p even though im playing in 1440p

ok so i came up with another idea i found another DVI-HDMI cable i plugged that into my gaming video card and other end into the other HDMI port on the streaming pc monitor and now on my gaming pc under display settings i see 3 displays and display 3 is showing up as 1080 p how can i tell it to mirror display 3 onto display 2 which is the ripsaw

sorry i know the wording of this is so weird. or is there a way i can make the ripsaw display 3 and the 1080p monitor display 2 and then mirror duplicate display 2 and 3 and then i could play on display 1

@cdsboy2000 i did what you suggested and changed the resolution in GeForce Control Panel. I noticed when i did that under display settings in windows it still shows my native resolution as 1440. Now is there a way i can game on my ultrawide gaming PC and monitor in 1440 so i dont lose quality while gaming but yet on my streaming pc it just outputs at 1080p? i mean its 2017 I can't believe we havent done this yet lol. ive scowered the internet all night looking and the only thing ive found is it cant be done or buy a 4k capture card for 5-6 bills USD.

i bought a razer ripsaw. My gaming PC i have a TITAN X video card i have a ASUS PG348Q 1440p Ultrawide. and i had issues getting the stream going basically. i went like this

DVI-HDMI Cable from gaming PC to Streaming monitor hdmi port 2
HDMI Cable to HDMI Port from gaming PC to Razer Ripsaw In
Displayport Cable from gaming pc video card to gaming monitor

DVI-HDMI Cable from streaming PC to HDMI port 1 on streaming monitor
HDMI Cable from streaming PC to HDMI out on capture card

I have the Mic set up on the streaming pc. I cant get audio unless the mic picks it up from the gaming pcs speakers. I and using a program called voicemeeter and i have Audio 1 as my SPDIF out (my surround sound logitech z908 or something is connected with optical cable) and audio 2 is razer ripsaw and i saw another (the same name) option for razer ripsaw so i made that audio 3 but i still get no audio via capture card and i have issues with the downscaling. also to get it working and to duplicate display 1 and 2 i had to connect the DVI-HDMI cable from gaming PC to Streaming monitor HDMI port 2. I do not know why that worked to atleast get a picture on a stream. I also went into GeForce Control panel because all of a sudden this morning i couldnt get it working and i changed the resolution in there on mointor 1 to 1080p and then it showed up on the streaming pc in OBS (my desktop) and when i go into display settings monitor 1 still shows at 1440p. But i cant game in 1440p but output in 1080p to streaming PC. This is getting super aggravating. I hope I explained everything properly. I very new to streaming. Thank you guys for all of your help in advance!

also sorry i did ask this question last night on another topic but i spent all night trying to mess with it and felt i had some more info to give you guys now to try and get some help so i thought id just make a new thread. Thank You Guys again!

You have lot of things there and its really messy. Maybe try to make it bit simpler by dividing your issues and making sort of diagram of the setup. Personally I can't help with over 1080p issues as I don't have experience with them. I know OBS isn't really fond when you try to play 1440p and stream through it, but someone might know solution to that.

Why did you get capture card to begin with? Looks like your PC is capable to encode stream without it.

I want to stream at 1080p. I guess, I thought what would happen is the capture card would downscale it for me on the stream. Also, the secondary pc is also my plex server and it makes it alot easier to have all the streaming stuff connected to that computer. but the issue im getting now is i cant get audio t play through capture card. just if the mic picks it up. It will not stream in 1440 and i dont think they really have any capture cards that will.

You need to set capture card to listen device you are using for speakers/headphones. Or from OBS set primary audio device as same as your speakers.

So, what I ended up doing was just getting GeForce experience working and for some reason its working ok now. I returned the capture card i ended up not needing it.
