Rx580 or Rx570???

I was wondering which would be better for me, i need a new gpu to go with my ryzen 5 1600x and ive decided to stick with amd for the gpu. I have a 29" Ultra wide monitor  (with 1080p res at 60Hz) and i was wondering if i have to spend the extra bit on the 580? Im looking at the ROG strix Rx 570 and the gigabyte 8Gb Rx 580. My monitor also has freesync if that helps at all

I'd say the 580 if you're playing modern games, if you're just looking to play older titles and MMOs the 570 would probably be fine

I play games like battlefield 1, for honor, csgo, Doom and The witcher

The 570 would still do very well especially if overclocked but if you can swing the price I would definitely go for the 580.

basically a 570 can be really close to a 480 when overclocked.

RX 580 would last you longer so you would not have to upgrade as quickly

 

The RX 570 would be "good enough"

A 480 is a 580 when overclocked

If you are worried about the money, get a R5 1600 instead of the 1600x and get the RX 580.

 

They are pretty much the same, with almost the same OC potential (maybe 100MHz off).
