Laptop for collage / Coding

Hello Forum!

Currently I have a selfbuild PC - i5 6600k r9 390 sapphire 500gb ssd z170 pro gaming

But at the moment I need the flexibilty to go where ever I want (due traveling and collage). I also do a bunch of coding, mostly web development, not much video intensive stuff. So it will be mostly a sort of office laptop.

My budget is pretty small around 500-600€, yep sorry I am from Germany. I was thinking about a thinkpad. Maybe an used t450? I do not mind to upgrade an ssd or ram or whatever. I just want to read your thoughts, what laptops you can suggest or cannot?

Thanks for the help!

old thinkpad is solid. slap in a SSD and at least, 8 GB of ram you are good to go.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

I feel Like those Laptops are pretty big and heavy. I am looking forward to mobility and as much battery Life as my Budget can support.
