HP Spectre x360 2017 Pen Compatibility

Hey guys, so it seems I should retire my surface pro 2 for a new 2-in-1

I was looking at the HP spectre x360 with an i5 and 8gb ram, looks great for my needs (would've preferred 16gb but they never go with i5s :( )

It seems perfect, but it seems like it doesn't work with an active pen. Now I am not a massive stylus user, but I do need it sometimes to jot down a diagram or formula while taking notes in onenote

I went to a local computer store where they had this laptop and asked one of the workers if it would work with a pen and he replied that of course it would, since it's a touchscreen

I don't put to much trust in that guy... But I don't see why it shouldn't be the case. I heard there is no Active pen support but honestly I don't need that, like I said, simple diagrams and formulas occasionally

How can I try out if the model in the store can support a pen? Do you think it will? I have a surface pro 2 pen, should i try to see if that works?

Thanks for the help to the clueless dude :)
