Hey there!

@LinusTech always makes sure to note, that FPC's 1080p looks better than Youtube's 4K (although @Slick always adds a disclaimer).

I decided that it was time to either prove their point or prove them wrong!

I used frames from SYW S5 E01, to compare YT's streamed 4K to 1080p mp4s I downloaded from FPC.

You can easily tell which parts of the image are from YT, since I did not want to do anything to the images apart from slicing them. (one is sliced weirdly, try to tell which one)

You should also ignore the darker parts in the top and bottom of the YT slices, since I had to pause the video to get the screencaps, so try to find the lines cutting the images in the center of the screen.

Spoiler:

It wouldn't be easy

One thing I have notices though, is that the image could be a little less noisy when cuts or rapid movements occur, but also note, that Kyle's finger in the second image is a fast moving object for these purposes

Can you post individual pics rather than slices? Please?

I unfortunately dont have them anymore, and besides, I don't fell, like I'd add value to the material by taking screenshots, so at least morally I would infringe their copyright
