Gtx 1050ti

Hey guys I'm looking to get a temporary gpu as a replacement for my gtx 580 

I have a Sabertooth X58 board with an i7 950. i was thinking about getting the gtx 1050ti or rx 580. i can get a 4GB 1050ti for around £150 and a 4GB rx580 for around £200.

 

Which would you guys suggest?

Definitely the 580, it is 50% better :D

580 8gb

It is a very good card but your cpu will botleneck it

I personally like the features that you get with nvidia like there recording thing and game stream so get the 1050ti and plus you save some $$$$

Check out the older 480 if you can. It's 10% slower, so if it is more than 15% cheaper, go for that.

But you're paying 33% less for 50% less performance O.o

I've been seriously considering it but my only thing is price point, as it is going to just be a temporary solution, as i plan on doing a full ryzen rebuild later on in the year.

I would definitely pay 33% more for 50% more performance. IMO, you should get the 580

Even bottlenecked, the 580 will outperform a 1050 Ti :D
