MAGIC!! how does it work then ?

Notice it has tons of ventilation, it just lets the heat of that way so it doesn't need a fan. It does run a bit hotter than a regular PSU, but as long as you have good airflow it won't be an issue

make sure you dont use it in a case with a psu shroud as it will have no airflow

buying from the UK and my budget is £200

For £90, the RM550x is a good high-end unit you can get as stated a few times: https://www.scan.co.uk/products/550w-corsair-rm550x-series-80-plus-gold-full-modular-single-rail-458a-plus12v-1x135mm-fan-atx-psu

It had achieve the highest Cybenetics certification (a new program) for audible noise for PSUs: Lamda A++. [LINK]

As you can see in the evaluation report on page 3, the RM550x had stayed under 17dBA throughout most of it load range. It on occasion does get louder but still stay under 25dBA.

The RMx is pretty darn good for the price. Unless an EVGA 550G2 can be found for cheaper then there's little to rival it.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
