Weird G-Sync Problem

Hello everyone,

 

So recently my graphics card broke and i borrowed one from my friend (PNY GTX 660 Ti) and then checked if the card was ready for 1080p 144 Hz and g-sync.

So i wanted to play some cs go and the steam fps counter says the game renders at around 200+ frames but it didn't feel like the monitor was outputting 144 frames and as it turned out it doesn't. Even though the game renders at these high frame rates the monitor only outputs around 80-90 Frames.

I checked if maybe the port I am using is not capable of 144 Hz but it is a Display-port 1.2 so as far as I know it should work.

Have any of you ever had a similar issue? If so do you have a solution for it?

That's a CSGO problem. You get weird ghosting and I usually limit my FPS to 146Hz to cut down on it. No fix until they implement Source 2 this summer
