Go to solution Solved by Anghammarad,

One thing though you could do that costs nothing.

Copy your friends browser history into a text file. Then copy it over to a thumb drive. Pick out the domain names only like "www.greatrussianhorseporn.ru" for example, I think you know the URL when you see them, then make a new file where you put in:

127.0.0.1                                       www.greatrussianhorseporn.ru

127.0.0.1                                       www.naughtymidgetporn.info

you know where I'm going.

then when you are finished with that, a nice work while waiting for windows to install and update, copy that new textfile again onto your thumbdrive, put it into the freshly installed and preheated laptop. There go to the folder : c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ and open the file "hosts" with a notpad and administrator privilidges.

into that file copy the lines you created like the examples above. save the file and close the editor.

Now create a new user without administrative permissions, set a good password onto the admin account and put Teamviewer QS onto the desktop.

Now all his preferred sites point to his machine and he can't install stuff. That for he can call you, and you can log on using teamviewer and then give him the account elevation windows asks for by typing it for him.

Then you still have lots of calls and work, but the chances of his laptop getting new STDs is not as high. Ok never underestimate a desperate mans google skills I know.

So my friend keeps coming to me because he keeps getting viruses on his laptop. Every time, I ask him is he goes on questionable sites at all. He always says: All kinds of porn sites. Im sick of him getting viruses. So I need some sort of program that i can put on it this time, to completely block him from porn sites and stuff, because i am very sick of reinstalling windows for him. Any ideas? also, it needs to be able to be password protected.

Covenant Eyes? I think you can set it to block access to adult sites, and it won't let you use a browser until it is running and signed in, and if you uninstall it, it sends an email alert to whoever is your account partner.

put a condom over his ethernet cable, mouse, keyboard and wlan antennas.

Else a good adblock (not the plus) and uscript, will help sift out a lot of junk. Then when he again gets infected, just smack him over the head with the laptop or drop it on his jewels.

explain how not to get viruses.

doesn't matter how much porn you watch and where, unless you run an executable you got from those sites, there's very little risk.

tell him to never run anything that downloads from those sites.

or maybe set him up with a VM for porn?

It's a kind of push installation, even Flash videos can deliver those or scripts.

In the last 10 years I once got infected with a keylogger for WoW. That one I got from a official gaming magazine website where their advertisment provider got hacked and played infected videos.

Was quite nice to do the forensic. Only one virus scanning tool knew that virus due to it's good heuristic abilities... Dr. Web Anti Virus / Cure It. All other big ones didn't find nothing.

Ok never underestimate a desperate mans google skills I know.

xD the links tho

Instead of that, maybe you should try to charge him money everytime he got a problem

start with $5 and go on from there. That would teach him responsibility and consequences.

That how most technician starts business.

Anyway why you do services for free?

not the same

Wannacry uses an NSA exploit.

I'd assume that the viruses you get from interracial midget porn aren't that fancy

Same basic idea, find an exploit in a browser, flash, javascript, whatever and use that to inject bullcrap onto whatever they can sink the hook into. With Wannacry the NSA just had the advantage of having the entire source code to discover/create exploits, it could have been done without it, it just would've taken a lot more work, which clearly would not have been worth it since it didn't pay all that well...
