Go to solution Solved by Anghammarad,

One thing though you could do that costs nothing.

Copy your friends browser history into a text file. Then copy it over to a thumb drive. Pick out the domain names only like "www.greatrussianhorseporn.ru" for example, I think you know the URL when you see them, then make a new file where you put in:

127.0.0.1                                       www.greatrussianhorseporn.ru

127.0.0.1                                       www.naughtymidgetporn.info

you know where I'm going.

then when you are finished with that, a nice work while waiting for windows to install and update, copy that new textfile again onto your thumbdrive, put it into the freshly installed and preheated laptop. There go to the folder : c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ and open the file "hosts" with a notpad and administrator privilidges.

into that file copy the lines you created like the examples above. save the file and close the editor.

Now create a new user without administrative permissions, set a good password onto the admin account and put Teamviewer QS onto the desktop.

Now all his preferred sites point to his machine and he can't install stuff. That for he can call you, and you can log on using teamviewer and then give him the account elevation windows asks for by typing it for him.

Then you still have lots of calls and work, but the chances of his laptop getting new STDs is not as high. Ok never underestimate a desperate mans google skills I know.

Didn't need any porn. Had a wife, until she passed away. Now I'm good. Thank you =)

But I work in IT and you see a lot of stuff in the field.

I once had to fix a managers Laptop on the run without being connected to the company network, so I couldn't logon as administrator or get access elevation, that Manager clicked onto a popup window. That changed his default browser site without needing elevated user rights and every time he opened his browser... DING DONG! to cite a scene from Lucifer =) Boobies bigger than the browser could hold.

He was desperate because he was about to have a presentation with internet applications at a customer later that day. So I build a script that did the same thing as the popup he clicked on and set his default site back to blank.
