An unknown sound and feeling as been coming from my case, the p400 SILENT edition tempered glass edition. It is very loudly vibrating, but I dont know what. I know for sure it isnt the fans, because i have a fan speed controller, and when they are off, the noise is still there. So, I am thinking it is either the cpu cooler, the gpu, power supply, or hard drive. This sound is louder than my fans at the high setting on the fan controller. What could it be? thanks!

The gpu is really old and does get loud during games, but im just watching videos. The power supply is fairly new, but it's older version did have problems as ive heard

CX650Ms only came out less than a year ago so it can't be more than that.

Open the case up and listen up. Try to put your finger on fans to stop them briefly, one by one and see if that stops the loud noise. It's likely a fan or the hard drlive.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

The hard drive didnt make the noise, and ive tried the case fans and they werent the source, have yet to try the cpu fan or the gpu fan because taking off the tempered glass side panel is tedious.

You can leave the glass panel off while you boot up your system you know. Just leave it off for the time being. I hope you haven't been trying to listen for the source of the noise with it on.

You need to try and isolate where the noise is coming from. You could pull out the GPU and boot up the system to check if that's the case. You won't get any display signal, but you'll be able to hear if it is the cause or not. I highly doubt it's the CPU cooler fan, there is not really any reason for why it would be particularly loud.

Check your cable management.  My wifes had a low buzzing due to a simple cable being vibrated by all the fans in the case.  Got it straightened out and poof...no more vibrations.

As for my case I had a buzzing also but mine was my HDD.  Put some thin foam tape under them and no issue now.

FYI...both of our cases are P400 series.  Mines the P400S acrylic window and my wife has the P400 Tempered Glass.

Low freq vibration from the PC ? the only thing that can cause that is a huge fan at certain RPMs that resonate with your chassis. You sure it comes from the PC?, low freq need a lot of air to be pushed so you can hear them, you don't have that kind of scenario inside a pc. It could be air turbulence but... i don't think so. It may sound dumb to ask but.. is the sound there when you turn it off?.
