No they are the best conduct of heat. Anything else will insulate them making them hotter. 

 

Its like you wouldn't make a paper heatsink for a cpu :P

The thermal tape will be thicker than the foil

i dont know about you but i always got some black spray paint around the house which would be the easiest fix but make sure to tape the contacts. or you could , though way more sketchy, cut some plastic sheets out of bottles and bend to form then spray paint and stick on. sorry i got nothing not involving spray paint of some sort

I did a test fit on sdram...i have to still make cutouts so the ram will fit..

The heatspreaders are just for looks on most ram. Ram makes very little heat.

Very little heat? All the RAM I've ever had (apart from some in my old iMac G3's and Pentium 2 rigs) gets too hot to touch.

Sorry, didn't see your location. In india I would worry more about heat dissipation than aesthetics. Heat spreaders will retain heat and be detrimental.

Maybe thin sheet aluminum such at heating and AC ducting. then some double sided tape.
