Computer problems -_-

Complete freezes like that are a common hard driver issue, how old is it? consider getting a brand new SSD for boot driver.

Hey, my pc wont play on the same team as me :(

Ok, heres whats happening:

Well when i play a game for a extended period of time my computer freezes and i have to reset it.

This is really frustrating when i render a video or play competative games and get bans because i cant reset my pc in time.

Specs:

Amd FX-9590 Black

Msi R9 390

2x 1tb seagate barracudas

corsair RM850 fully modular

Asrock 990FX Extreme 6

Noctua D15

Thanks in advance :)

Ah yes, Seagate Barracudas.

Question: how old is this computer? If it's, like five years old or round about, that's likely gonna be the problem. I remember having the same issue where my Barracuda 2TB drive would give up in some things. Not to mention, it died days after the warranty period ended.

I have two hard drives. Bootdrive/program and program storage and another one for basically photos, videos and backups.

The bootdrive is about a year old and the dumpdrive is about 1,5-2 years old.

I think it has to do with thermals on the 9590 black :(

The computer is about 3-4 years old if not newer. The drives are newer than the pc as i bought them while i upgraded hardware. Is it 5 year warranty on the barracuds?

The pc is idling at a chill 30 celcius while boosted to 5ghz.

I set furmark at the 1080p preset and started it and prime95 on all thread to simulate a really intense video render.

After 30 min the temperatures stabilized at a toasty 95 C on the cpu and 70 C on the cpu diode while the gpu was also at a toasty 96 C.

My room was about 34 C when the tempratures stabilized. Well i guess i have a really great heater haha.

While the bench took place the cpu clock kicked down to stock speed 4,5ghz and sometimes jumped up to 4,7ghz.

I mean the 9590 is not known to be a fireplace for no good reason, maybe consider saving for a new CPU altogether would be the best, the 9590 really has been surpassed by a lot of processors already, processors extremely more power efficient xD

Yes i know. I have like 3 projects in my garage. A car and two motorcycles. So those are the money drain ahah. But i was looking at the latest ryzen cpu. Seems like the best bang for buck right now :P I had a little issue today with trying to load gta v. It just froze just as it did before. But the pc is cold. So i think my harddrives are on their way to dying. I guess ill just buy a ssd and call it a day for now :D But thanks for all of you guys' help :)

Nevermind, Kingston SSDNow UV400 this ssd has more speed than the budget m.2 ssds.

Gee any thing but Kingston or PNY:

For a cheap SSD the SanDisk SSD Plus is very decent, if you want to spend a bit more for certain reliability you could opt for Crucial MX 300 or Samsung EVO 850.

I personally see no appeal what so ever in M.2, but if you like it do consider it, just avoid Kingston, they do awfully shady marketing practices.

OMG! I have had kingstone forever. I like their railability and stuff, but now im just speechless... I guess it will be a amd or Adata ssd. I dont have the money for a evo nor a sandisk.

I just looked at m.2 drives and i do not see the point of them either.. Slower speeds and less storage for the hefty pricetag.
