EVGA Z68 FTW MOBO detecting drives only in setup

My evga z68 ftw mobo is seeing my drives perfectly fine in bios setup, but once i get past bios setup it reads

Adapter 1

No drives found

---------------------------

And then it goes to the please insert bootable media thing

Ive tried switching sata ports, turning off esata, disabling unused sata ports, turning off flash memory, among other things

               Corsair 750W G2 | Acer R240HY x2

Upsilon- i7 5500u | 6GB DDR3 | 720p 60Hz panel
