STORY

So I currently have a Cougar 200M (I'm not sure why I got it either) that I used to really like but I recently started using a bit more of a claw grip. Now its too tall too comfortably use and is causing me wrist pain to use for extended periods of time. So I've temporarily swapped to using a cheapo Logitech B100 mouse I had laying around, which is significantly better on my wrist. I suffice it to say I'm looking for a replacement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • I have smaller than average hands and use a claw grip and am right handed.
  • Need a relatively light and low profile mouse.
  • Comfortable and ergonomic.
  • I need a sensor that can track on a variety of surfaces due to my DIY mouse-pad.
  • Maximum of two extra buttons, in addition to the standard mouse buttons and optional dpi button. It is preferred to have these but not required.
  • Only game casually with a mouse, ie Hearthstone, Stardew Valley.
  • Blue color scheme preferred but not actually important.

I know that this is a bit of a tall order but mice aren't my specialty unlike other tech stuff, and I want to preserve my wrist. So crowd sourcing knowledge it is.

Thanks In advance

-Kazer

Uhm maybe Logitech G102/G203?
Not sure the sensor can track on a variety of surfaces or not but it mostly meets your needs. (I just bought myself one recently BTW)

Need a relatively light and low profile mouse.

Zowie FK1 or FK2 seems ideal then if the b100 is comfortable.

The B100 doesn't cause me pain to use, but I would prefer something a bit more ergonomic than that said B100.

I'll definitely look more into the Logitech g203 and Zowie FK but also still open for suggestions, I'm hoping to test drive a trackball tomorrow as well.

@Ethocreeper Two extra buttons maximum. That mouse has a lot more than that.

Roccat Kone Pure immediately comes to mind: small-medium hand size, claw grip preferred, relatively light (95g), laser sensor for better tracking on odd surfaces, and slightly blue accents.

What DPI/Sensitivity do you work at? Lowering it enough to force your arm to move and not just your wrist may help.

I use the Coolermaster Mizar and love it. It seems to fit all your requirements. It is super comfortable and easy to use, and feels very lightweight (though I don't know the actual weight of it). I've had it 2 years and if I had to buy any other mouse, I'd just get it again.

I've also had the G502 that someone above recommended and I don't recommend it, very heavy and large mouse.

GTX 3080 Ti ROG | Ryzen 5600X | MSI Tomahawk B550 | 32GB 3600MHz | Corsair 850e | HAF X | WD SN850X | Asus MG287Q 1440p 144Hz

Alright Thank You all for your help. I'll probably get a Logitech G203, Zowie FK, or Roccat Lua. As those all seem decent I'm hoping to test some of them later on today depending on what my local Best Buy has. The CM Mizar and Roccat Kone are both a bit on the expensive side. I also am borrowing a colleagues trackball mouse to see how that works Logitech M570, if I grow to like it by the end of the day I might get one of those instead.
