So it seems like there are a lot of conflicting posts/videos about Ryzen and 3200mhz RAM. Some say as long as you buy Samsung B-Die you should be fine, others say they have b-die and are still unable to get their RAM to reach its core speed. Others say non b-die works just fine.

Are there known B350/X370 MoBo/RAM combos that work for 3200mhz RAM?

Was looking at the MSI B350 Tomahawk. On the MSI forums, they have staff saying that speeds over 2400mhz aren't attainable at the moment for this board. Am I better off just buying some verified 2400mhz? Don't want to dish out the extra cash for 3200mhz just to run it at lower speeds.

Thanks,

Licit

don't go for an MSI Ryzen board, they're incredibly mediocre - I'd rather an ASUS or AsRock board, and a lot of B-Die kits (I recommend G.Skill Flare X or Trident Z 3200Mhz CL14, as that is certified B-die memory)

or, just wait - the patch that gets Hynix (most 3000Mhz/3200Mhz CL16 kits) memory working on Ryzen 100% is coming soon, like at the end of the month.

idk
