hi,

i will keep this as short and simple as i can.

my problem is that my pc randomly freezes up and sometimes bsod's.

the bsod are usually 'not handled exceptions'. every now and again the pc just blacks out and restarts.

i have read allot of conflicting stories about these errors/faults from bad mobo components(capacitors and such like),ram, hdd's and failing psu's (which is my suspition!).

i have;run memtest86 for 12 hours with no faults.

checked all hard drives with hd tune pro, no errors

stress tested cpu and gpu. no errors.

it is hard to know what to do.if i replace the hdd and its not that its a waste of money and the same goes with the other things i mentioned.

please help

thanks

edit;these things do not happen in safe mode

Run a CPU and GPU stress test simultaneously. If that doesn't reproduce your crash, make a second small hard drive partition and install windows onto it and use that for a while to see if it still crashes. Be sure to use either updated or (if you have the most current) rolled back drivers. It is worth trying a driver update on the main partition before trying this. If the issue persists, it's hardware, if not, it's software. Solve problems with a shotgun, np.

Note that non-synthetic programs are a better way to stress test. Trying running a few games while the CPU is primed (or whatever you use) with Vsync off to force your card to 100% usage.

Error: 410

can you suggest a program that will test cpu and pgu at the same time? also all drivers up to date.windows is a clean install too.my hdd is a 64 gb  ssd so no room for partition.also my gpu is new and it did it with old and new gpus although i can not remember too well.i think in crossfire it did it which makes me believe its psu related as it needed 2x power.

A lot of the time a failing PSU can cause such problems .

If your HDD is failing it usually give some sort of an error like the hard drive is eminent to fail please back up all your data.

Hope you find the problem soon !

revert your oc on the cpu along with voltages back to stock (NOT AUTO) and see if fixes it (it happens to me too if i got vtt voltage too low)
