What is the best laptop I can buy for $2000USD, if it goes over by a couple hundred that's fine but would like to stick to $2000. The girlfriend doesn't want a huge set-up with two monitors and all my peripherals in our new apartment, I understand it is very small. So I'm down sizing to a laptop. I mainly am looking for gaming performance, and am open to any size screen, although the larger the better. Also would be okay with any screen resolution as long as the laptop has the power to back it up.

if it's not for portability, just go with a tiny desktop.

well it may need to be portable because I may not have room to have a dedicated desk or area for a pc.

If you're looking strictly for gaming performance, get a 1070.

Either the P670HS or the P650HS. For performance.

Thin and light 1070s are limited to the Aorus X5 v7 but that's obscenely expensive.

Otherwise you can get a 1060 6gb for around 1200.

1060 thin and lights would be like the Aero 15

There are more expensive vendors that offer liquid metal but we can talk about that depending what route you decide.
