Ok funny thing: in Corsair Link where i monitor to have a reference to HWMonitor the cooler doesn't change the tempreature ^^ by that i mean if the cpu goes from 30 to now 80-90 it changes from 31 to 38? as I saw that i thought ok thats why the fans don't start -> changed them to max rpm -> no temp improvement (maybe because i changed the default ones to OP ones)

For Voltage I don't think its too much as I googled i found many having the same Voltage.

I also have different temps on difrent modes in prime95. When i use the first (Small FFTs) the temp instantly jumps to 100°C, on In-place large FFTs it slowly rises to 80-90 for quite some time and then rises to upper 90 where i stopped

@Akadis so what are you gonna do now?

Ok so I don't have an air cooler around atm so can't test that.

I wrote a ticket to corsair telling them about the problem and I will see what they have to say (probably send it back and get a new one).

For now I disabled the turbo mode so I have a max CPU Speed of 4GHz (enough for the stuff I am doing atm) and with prime95 I got temps at around 70°C for around 2h which I think is fine/safe

I'll keep you posted as soon as I get the reply from corsair and tell you the temps when i get the air cooler from a friend.

Thanks for the help so far.

Try downclocking your CPU and your voltage seems too high check if you have played with the voltage and your power seems too low, can you send me everything?

I agree with this.

I had the same issue (See here)  ended up being too high voltage - Yours goes to 1.456V under load which is pushing it whilst using an all in one.

If you've got the voltage set to auto in the bios I'd change it to a lower voltage, check the temps under stress than change it to adaptive.

isn't there an auto mode which just doesn't overclock or do i have to set a manual voltage?

Typically leaving it on automode leads to overvoltage so setting a manual voltage first, checking stability and then selecting adaptive mode will serve you well.

If you don't wish to overclock leave frequency on auto.

ok so i just set it to manual 1.250V and turned turbo mode back on.

when i run prime95 i get 70°C but somehow the CPU wont turbo? any idea?

and btw HWMonitor tells me now Voltage is around 1.250 with a peak at 1.34isch

Could be that it requires more voltage.

Maybe go in and restore to default but only change the voltage to 1.25 and see if turbo works.

If that doesn't work, perhaps change it to adaptive this time.

Also, if you can use AIDA64 vs Prime95.

what is the difference?

and if in adaptive mode still 1.25V?

Could be that there was an additional setting, restoring to defaults gives us a clean slate.

Set adaptive mode with 1.25 yes.

Make sure turbo feature is also set to on.

AIDA64 is just a more realistic stress test and usually temperatures are much more favourable.

Ok I did:

- Reset

- AiOverclock Tuner -> XMP (for my RAM)

- CPU Core/Cache Voltage -> Adaptive mode

- Additional Turbo Mode CPU Core Voltage -> Manual

- OffsetVoltage -> Manual

Now the Voltage doesn't go over 1.2V and stays at 4GHz or lower

I'm assuming you want it to turbo to 4.2? I think for this you need to keep the vcore voltage set to auto for it to work.

If that's not an option due to the temps and over voltage then you can also adjust the frequency manually to 4.2 by applying a 42 multiplier across all cores and retain your vcore at 1.2v

if I do that the CPU will still be able to downclock when doing nothig?

Once you've changed it to adaptive with the offset at the correct voltage yeah it will still downlock etc due to C state.
