Overclocking with weak psu

I tried overclocking my 6700k to 4.8 but then it wasn't working very well I was getting a blue screen and my cooler is good and all H100i v2 and my voltage as well but I think it's my PSU that's to weak. I have a 6700k and a 1080 strix with 32 GB ram...but the PSU  is 550 watts and gold + certified which I is definitely enough for stock running but is it enough to overclock my CPU or GPU or both...btw ram is already oc

My PC is a fast boyo:

6700K - 32GB - 1080 - 256GB EVO

It should be more than enough. What PSU is it, and is your GPU overclocked?

I was just wondering if I'm able to oc both CPU and GPU , I though Pascal was efficient enough

It's a pretty decent PSU from what I can see form ratings

it's at the low end of their lineup, it *IS* their cheap stuff.

or in other words, they dont make it expecting it to be paired with top end hardware.
