External GPU without thunderbolt 3!?

Is there a way to connect an external GPU to my laptop (so I can Huck an quadro card) without thunderbolt 3 support .bcz I saw a person removing WiFi module and inserted a cable which came out of the laptop which can be connected to the external gpu

I am a mechanical engineering student I work lot with autocad solid works,CATIA ,I read in forums that quadro give very good performance than gtx cards so in future to I will buy one m1000m quadro card and use it

what laptop? Some you can swap the gpu.

 

Are those programs slow?

 

Id just save up for that laptop,
