Yo people :D

A friend of mine give me his old pc which is a FM2+ apu 6600k and he has told me it turns off after an hour of gaming or so he said.

I'm either thinking of replacing the stock cooler and putting on a AIO or just buying a cooler master air cooler . Sounds like a overheating issues .

What you guys and gals think .?

And also it isn't a power supply issues because he replaced the old one with a new one.

What are the cpu temps when it turns off? Don't waste money on an an aio get  a cheap air cooler like a BeQuiet Pure Rock or a Cryorig H7 if anything.

Replace the thermal compound with anything really, MX4 is cheap enough and as good as any other within reason. Don't buy a cooler until the mobo/APU proves to be good. Also make sure the CPU fan itself is running good. If all is good pick up something cheap for that FM2+ like a Gammax 400.
