What Frame Rate Should I Get?

Champion-Craig
Go to solution Solved by upliftsleet1974,

My 660 is doing very well in bf4 (the drivers suck)

You will be getting at least 60fps on high

Hey guys, just wondering now with curiosity how much fps I should get on:

BF4 on High or Ultra Settings 1600x900.

Planetside 2 on High or Ultra Settings with Physx 1600x900

I was told on a earlier forum I should get around a 44% fps increase because i'm not 1080p. I don't have the money to get a 1080p monitor until Summer probably so I will use what I got.

Specifications i'm acquiring through Christmas and my own hard earned cash. This build to me seems pretty damn good for  a 14 year old....

GPU -EVGA Geforce GTX 660 Superclocked
CPU- AMD FX 8350 Vishera (AM3+ Socket)
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2.0
RAM- Patriot Viper Xtreme 4GB Desktop Memory Module  X 2 = 8GB of Ram
HD- Western Digital Black Hard Drive 1TB
Disk Drive- Asus DRW-24B1ST 24X Internal DVD Burner
PSU - Corsair CX 600
Case: Corsair 200R

And yes, I do need HDD. I download most of games through disks and need it for putting my CD's on Itunes ;)

Thanks in advance :)

Specs:  CPU- AMD FX 8320 @ 3.5Ghz Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 GPU -EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked  RAM- 16GB 1600MHz (4x4)  HD- Western Digital Blue Hard Drive 1TB  PSU - Corsair CX 750M Case: Corsair 300R OS-  Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Mouse: Razer Deathadder 2013 Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Edition 2013

I don't plan on overclocking the processor. I might but not by much

I can vouch for gaining FPS at 1600x900. For both those games you should easily maintain a delta of 54-60FPS consistently.

If you are using high PhysX (Apex pack) you will maybe lose out 10FPS. If you stick to low PhysX or go into control panel (Nvidia's one) and offload the PhysX to your 8 core you should blitz through BF for sure.

:)

Why even bother asking just look up a benchmark with that same GPU and same graphical settings and theres your answer.

I have seen benchmarks but I just wanted to see some peoples opinions about the 1600x900 part.

Thank you very much I see you have the fx 6300, So I should be able to get above 60 with the FX 8350. Are you 1080p?
