whoever says "macs don't get viruses" is either a fan boy, or really stupid (wait, thats the same thing)

just as proof to my friend (who doesn't macs anymore) i downloaded a simple virus to his system (not a damaging one, just an adware one that doesn't do anything more than show ads) and showed him it, he said it was just a pop-up on his browser, two days later he called me saying: "PLEASE HELP ME! MY SYSTEM WON'T STOP SHOWING ADS EVEN WHEN MY BROWSER IS CLOSED!" i said to him: "you have a virus, get an anti-virus and scan the system"

was this harsh? yes, but he ALWAYS said it when i was using my "inferior" windows laptop, so payback was in order....

he has used a windows computer ever since, but thats because he finally realized that macs are less powerful than windows laptops in the workloads he does (photoshop and premiere pro), buts that another story....
