I'm buying a new cpu/mobo for my pc today and i was just wondering if anyone new of anything I'm forgetting, i don't want to waste my money because I was dumb and forgot something.

here's what i have

- amd a8-7600 redeon R7 cpu

- two 4 gig ddr3 1866 hyperx ram sticks 

- gtx 1060 6 gig, its from zotac and its the mini.

- FM2A88M-HD+ mobo

- and a one terabyte hard drive. 

 

and for what I'm going to buy

- Fx-8350 cpu 

GIGABYTE 760G + SB710 mATX AM3+ mobo

will this work and what do you think about the cpu vs the gpu?

To elaborate on @FloRolf and @Abdul201588 , the AM3+ platform is dead. It's old, and you can't get upgrades in the future.

 

But I do understand what you want. You want a CPU that can power that GTX 1060, which I think the FX processor can. And I also understand you don't want to spend lots of them currency items on new DDR4 memory.

 

So if you can get that motherboard and FX processor used and for really cheap, it's a nice upgrade. Otherwise, I would recomend saving lots of money for a new motherboard, Ryzen CPU and some DDR4 memory.
