GPU for a i5 4570t

Hey Guys,

 

So I got a I5 4570t (got it for free), so I wonder, if I paired it with a 1060 would the cpu bottleneck in some of the games? Since its a dual core cpu(with hyper threaded).  Kinda like the i3 7350K

yes it will bottleneck, use a 1050ti or a rx470.

its sad a 1050 ti is like 50$ cheaper than a 1060 3gb

1060 3gb is not really worth it, if you can pick up a rx480 4gb on sale, cheapest ones can go low as 143$ after rebate.

I dont really want an amd card has I want good efficiency and not heater box in my pc  since its for a mini itx case.

that has changed also rx480 is the best budget card in the world especially for 143$ after rebate.

Grab a slightly better GPU.  I suggest an RX 480/580.  I even advise gettinh a 1060 6gb if you can get one cheap.  Then you can throw a i7 4770 later on

fellow Canadian here, you will be surprised if you look around, just avoid retail stores if you want deals.

very true, this isn't my main rig, its a lan pc for when I go to people places. its either a 1060gb for 325$ cdn (canadian) or a 1050 ti for 200$ (cdn)

Second hand options are better, check your local kijiji/craigslist

used is a decent option, not fan of it though. simply that I dont trust sellers on kijji lol

No need to trust, test first.  I bought everything in my PC aside from the AIO and  CPU on kijiji
