I currently have a 3570k running at 4.4ghz on 1.2 volts being cooled by a Noctua NH-D14 in a dual fan setup using Arctic Silver V from about a year and a half ago. I just finished cleaning out the fans and cooler as well as my intake fans and everything else. I ran my 1150mhz 780ti with furmark, and my CPU using prime 95 version 28.10 (latest) small FFT, both simultaneously for an hour, my CPU were 80-85 with a peak of 85 on the hottest core.  Is this acceptable? I've been running the CPU with these settings for about 2 years, but I'm worried about long term use. It doesn't really go over 70 degrees while gaming from what I've seen. Is this okay for long term usage?

Looks ok to me, maybe try and get it stable with less volts to save a few degress?

This was mine, daily OC.

Temp wise it's OK, nothing to be bothered about. I'd expect better cooling performance from an ND-H14, but since IVY had crappy thermal paste TIM between IHS and CPU, it's not surprising to see higher Temps as time goes by.

It's withing manageable parameters, if the CPU was experincing degradation, you'd need more voltage to sustain such overclock. Something 2500K users at 5.0Ghz had back in the days when they went past 1.4v on core, which is the absolute maximum anyone would recommend on Intel Sandy and newer.

Nothing to worry about.

hmm, I've got the same CPU at the same speed with 1.25V and the temps don't go above 75 degrees when running Prime95.  I'm using the same thermal paste with a Be Quiet Dark Rock 3 cooler.

I read somewhere that it's good practice changing thermal paste every year.  I'm gonna look for the source and send it your way.
