Maybe try and give some more info like:

 

What is the rest of your system's specs?

Which PCI slot did you put the GPU in?

Did you plug your monitor into the GPU or motherboard? 

Did you make sure your BIOS is set to use PCI Express Graphics?

 

I assume you didn't forget to plug in the 6-pin PCI power cable

Does you mum know you're here?

g3260 pentium

8gb hyperx 1 stick

wd 1tb blue

450w fsp power supply i tried my mates 750 corsair psu and stil didnt boot so the psu is not the issue the bios is the latest version but i only have pci e gen 2 and the rx 470 is gen 3.0 i heard it was not an issue so what do you think is the problem

Have you tried plugging the display into the mobo instead?
