Decent speeds, but because of the amount of illegal stuff on Mega, and the affiliation with Kim Dotcom, I wouldn't be surprised if they suddenly disappear one day.

Wouldn't store anything important there.

Ohh I didn't knew that

well.. kim dotcom technically doesnt do anything against the law, but the guy's air makes you just want him to end in jail...

and yes, defenately mega is a breeding ground for piracy (and worse).

If you're looking for an access anywhere storage solution I'd just host your own file server. You could give yourself TBs of storage space cheaper than any online hosting service. Google wants $300/month for something around 5~15TB. I can't recall the exact amount or check at this time.

Dotcom no longer has any affiliation with MEGA.co.nz - he's working on MEGA2.0 that runs entirely off untraceable BitCoins so law enforcement would have to literally shutdown the entire internet to disable it. :D http://www.wired.co.uk/article/kim-dotcom-mega-3

Dang, stopped following this story a while ago, sounds like the perfect shitstorm, hostile takeovers and everything. Mega is definitely 50 shades of shady.

But anything Dotcom touches will be under extreme scrutiny from governments all over the world, especially given the types of data stored on his platforms, whether that's Megaupload, Mega or Mega 3.0

"The third time will be perfect. You’ll see"

At least he's staying positive :D

And the whole takedown of the original Megaupload was legally super dodgy. As long as the data is stored on a physical server somewhere I'm sure the NSA or similar organisations can take it down if they really want, encryption and bitcoin payments or not.

Does you mum know you're here?
