Hello everyone, I haven't posted here in a while so I thought I'd grace your presence with my upgrade build idea. Now I'd like to note that while I may have a 1080 in this build I am not buying the gpu till Vega drops. Hoping that my dreams will not be crushed and Vega will be just as good or better than a 1080 with a  lower price point. As you can tell this is my RGB build with a budget of 1700-1800 US dollars. I am avoiding Ryzen builds only because I haven't seen a motherboard that is both RGB and contains the Bluetooth and Wifi capabilities. If someone know of a motherboard that contains these then I'd love to see your Ryzen recommendations. I mainly post these to give people who love suggesting builds like me something to do. If you have any questions just ask?

i would get a 1600 build or a 7700k depending on what you are going to be doing with the pc.

you do realize there is a $120 difference between the 1600 and 7700k right? you should be suggesting a 7600k, which he has chosen in the parts list he provided, since it is the same price range as a 1600.

If you want RGB on your mobo then go with Intel for now, Hopefully Asus will put out a Strix X370 board soon though. You could just try and wait a little bit longer for that to happen.

I would wait but who knows when that will be and I'd like to give my old build to the lady in my profile picture.

Exactly, and if you wait to long new chips could be out within like 2 months after making you feel like you wasted your money. So if RGB is what you really want on your motherboard then definitely go with Intel simply because of their bigger Motherboard selection right now.
