The 780ti is a bit cheaper atm. And its the 4gb 480. Just wondering which is better, i know there are better cards and im not looking for suggestions like "get 8gb" or "500 series is out and same price." Thanks.

I think the 780Ti is a bit better, but the RX 400 series has support for newer technologies, like way better DX12 performance, support for Vulkan, etc.

780Ti is around a 970, so a 480 is better.

rx 480 because it has a higher clock speed and 1gb more of ram

You can't compare clockspeeds between different architectures. An RX 480 (at 1400mhz~) is equivalent to a GTX1060 (at 2000 mhz~).

yep 500 series if u can find it at the same price as the 480 go for it if not theres only about a 5% perfomance gain between them and u can get most 480s to run at 580 speeds anyways

I thought the standard 780 was like the 970?

Maybe not in new games.

With day one drives a 780~970, but after Maxwell drivers get better it pulled ahead.

780ti gets absolutely demolished in newer titles, especially ones that have a large focus on compute.

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

Well I have the same gpu core. Handled bf1 on the high preset on 1440 with 60+ frames. Which seems to be what people like. Even had it slightly ubderclokced. And this was before the patches on bf1.

Not sure what your paying but as a 780ti can be had for around 150 and 980's for around 250 I'd go with with the 780 or find a better deal. I'm not much for mid range cards though.
