Me and a friend have swapped PC's.  We now want our original SSDs back which contains our Windows 10 OS.  I have a feeling that the windows 10 license is licensed to the motherboard.  Is this correct?  If so can I troubleshoot this problem by exchanging our license keys with one another?  We both want to reinstall windows 10 once we have our SSDs back.

Yeah but it'll work with Windows 10. Since Microsoft wants all the adoption of Windows 10 they can get they just let it work regardless. I've done it a couple times with my own system and once with a friend's and it somehow magically worked which I don't remember it doing on Windows 8 or older.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
