Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum and have some questions regarding cooling in the Ncase M1. I'm planning my first pc build for this summer and as I have been a console player all my life, I don't know exactly what provides good cooling and quiet operation. From the Ncase homepage I saw the cooler height is limited to 130mm, my question is: Which air cooler should i get?

I plan to overclock a little, but low noise is most important. I have not yet decided on Intel or AMD.

Yes that case is fine and will get good cooling if you take advantage of the cooling places and put fans were you should.

You should be able to fit something like this: http://noctua.at/en/products/cpu-cooler-retail/nh-d9l

Maybe not ideal because you might want to get a top-down cpu cooler becuase the motherboard VRM might like some cooling. But it's an option tho.

Thanks for the suggestion, but since the fans are small wouldn't it be a bit noisy? Again have no prior experience with desktop pc's.

You can't go wrong with noctua fans :P

They are expensive, but they are about as good as it's going to get if you want good case fans and cpu coolers.

Linus even teamed up with them to do a limited run of LTT limited edition noctua fans a while ago.

It's a very quiet fan.

Nice, in regards to fans being expensive, everything is expensive in Denmark, depending on the exchange rate the FE 1080ti cost around $1000...

92mm fans are pretty close to those fans cooling consoles. And they are for random OEM manufacturers. Noctua is top notch cooling brand. If you want quiet operation from case fans too, Noctua is one of better choices. Like there are also other top-down coolers and even small tower coolers which would fit.
