I just built my new case with the computer i've been using for quite some time without issue. Now I have it all installed and it wont turn on. What could the issue be? ive plugged all the PSU cables into the motherboard/GPU and I'm not getting any sort of life:(

Photos would be nice to ensure you have the cables plugged in correctly

Yeah actually just had to check that haha

I know I've sat there checking wiring before for a good half an hour just to realize that I forgot to flip the switch so I just thought I'd put that out there. Also I would check to make sure your ram is seated correctly as it sometime can cause power issues if not in correctly.

Ok cool. Check all the connectors are all the way in and try to start to put by shorting out the two power pins for the front panel header

Probably a dumb question but how do I short the the two power pins?

A screwdriver touching the two pins you plug the "power" front panel connector into. Sorry for the delay. Been at uni for a test

FIRST PICTURE!

Seems to me like the "splitty" part of the the 24pin to your motherboard isn't fully inserted.

Take it out and remount.

Any idea how to get it fully in? I've tried to shove it in and I haven't had any luck

Don't force it. Usually the small cable goes in FIRST, so by the looks of it you have to take the entire cable out of the socket of the motherboard and then plug them in at the same time OR with the smaller one first.

It takes some, and I mean SOME, force to plug the cable in and I know that, but if it's not going in when you'ree really trying something is off.

Slide the small one on the bigger and try again :)

Look at the locking mechanism:
