Why cant I get my mother board out?

Go to solution Solved by Mira Yurizaki,

There's probably a death grip on the I/O shield, so you'll want to move it to the right first before moving it out. Or angle it up from the right side.

I have a prebuilt Asus that I'm trying to take the mother board out of and it's stuck. What am I doing wrong?

There could be a screw hidden under the fan on the left. Try removing that :)

Have you tried giving it a wiggle?

Also the rear I/O could be getting stuck on that fan.

I see a little nub sticking into the hole in the center of the motherboard. try lifting up and then pulling it out.

Just lift it from one corner and see what part gets stuck

don't bend it too much though. lift it 1cm above the case, or until you feel it's unsafe.

Lift the board by the right edge about 20 degrees, then pull (might need to be forceful) to the right at straight angle ...Its your IO Shield.
