Let me see what the crystal ball says:

Jokes aside, it's just too early to make assumptions especially since the info we have is limited.

Performance will be great on Skylake-X but price will be pretty darn high.

Intel doesn't care about Ryzen release at all xD

Nah will still require delid and reapply. Intel don't love you and will treat you like gum they trod in as long as the consumer allows it.

I think he meant the 16 cores Ryzens, if they will ever get released.

What we know:

-They'll be better than what's out right now

-There will be a new socket, probably LGA 3647 (jeesh how'd I know that off the top of my head)

-???

That's it. Just wait and see.

If every new cpu requires new motherboard then we have to change motherboard again and again. That kinda sucks

Not completely. For Intel on the HEDT platform generally each socket lasts for 2 generations, that was true of the mainstream LGA 115x sockets as well until 1151, where it seems like it'll last for 3. Not sure if Skylake, Kaby, and Cannonlake will all exist on 3647 so it might change for HEDT too.

On the AMD side of things it usually lasts for 4 generations, AM4 is supposed to get new CPUs until 2020.

It's an unfortunate thing that has to happen in order to bring new CPUs with new features, more pcie lanes, more memory channels, etc. to the market. :/

Prosumers are the target, really. Pure gamers only need a 7700k. Also, the same dies used in the HEDT platform are used in Xeon, so that's where the real $ are.
