Ew green sticker unit bad quality.

Woah hold up I got a 750w bronze semi-modular in my system. Probably one of the best PSU's I've ever had. Plus it depends on whether you have a case where you can see the sticker, not that many do. Never had any problems with any of my Corsair PSU's before.

My Main Build:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700 @ 3.6Ghz,

RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengence LPX 2666MHz,

GPU: SAPPHIRE AMD HD7770 GHz Edition 1GB GDDR5,

SSD: SanDisk SSD Plus 240GB (Linux boot),

HDD: WD 1TB Green (Windows 10 Home Premium), 500Gb HDD (random games), 4TB Seagate Barracuda (ISO's and hoarding),

PSU: 750W Corsair Semi-Modular Bronze efficiency,

Case: Aero 500 white side panel,

Spoiler

Raspberry Pi: First version model B 512Mb RAM, 700MH, pihole for the network

1
Spoiler

Laptop: Intel Pentium 3825U @ 1.90GHz, 4GB ram, 1TB HDD, Ubuntu server running samba

i paid £65 for my g1, a g2 is £83.

and yes it is true, you cant guarantee a life span on anything.

So, S12ii/M12ii, GQ, and B2. At least one of those should be cheaper.

While that is true, you can improve it though, by getting a better PSU. It's not a guarantee, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. It gives you a better chance that your components will survive longer.

hold on you have a g1 yourself... but yet its overpriced for what it is?

Ummm  I may or may not have been greatly uneducated at the time of buying the components in my pc

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

As I've said before, that doesn't mean there aren't better options that will probably allow your components to last longer.

Doesn't mean that it's as good as other units.

The quality isn't as good as many other PSUs. I believe @STRMfrmXMN once said, "The G1 PSUs are designed to last for 10 years, but not for your components to last for 10 years."

Just because it's been good for you for 2 years doesn't mean it will be good for you for 4 years.

Eh, it's probably gonna live through it's warranty and I guess that little slogan would apply to it OK but it's just that the electrical performance is so bad because it's group-regulated that, when it's at the same price point as the Seasonic G-series, EVGA GQ/GS etc, it makes no sense to buy.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
